When I first tried bouldering, I remember not wanting to get too involved in it as I thought that being short made it impossible for me to get good at climbing. And, indeed, a lot of the harder routes do not take into account shorter people (or at least those who don't know how to fly lol). Now I am proud to say that I was 100% wrong and that most of the time being short only requires a little bit of imagination. In the GIF above you can see an example of a route that nobody in the gym climbed like me. I saw everyone try to do the first moves in a static way (meaning they didn't jump to grab the holds), some of which failed as they clearly didn't have the strength to do it. As for me, I didn't even consider the static beta and directly went for something different. I was so glad it worked! ^3^
I never thought I would discover such a big passion this year. I love climbing so much. I'm currently on the first day of my period and it makes me fucking angry because it means that I can't go climbing. I wish I could climb every day man.
